Friday November 23, 2018!
Opening Night Parade:
The 2017 parade is over, but mark your calendar for the 2018 parade! The event will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 with a brief Lighting Ceremony to follow (est time 6:45 pm)! This event is organized by the Mankato Area Derby Girls.
The lights display will open to driving traffic starting at 8 p.m. on opening night in order to ensure the safety of the large number of pedestrians in the area following the parade.
People attending the parade are encouraged to arrive early to find parking and to account for the possibility of trains crossing the streets in the area (Mound Ave. will be closed to traffic west of Hubbell Street starting at 5 pm until after the parade ends). Bring lawn chairs and blankets for along the parade route, and be sure to dress your family for the weather! There will be extremely limited seating in the warming house near the end of the parade.
Parking is available in designated parking lots/areas denoted on the map below. On-street parking is also available. There is no parking along the parade route.
We’ll see you on Opening Night, 2018!
Visit Santa After Parade until 9 p.m.
